About the Halo Capsule

halo-capsule-cordless-vacuum-cleaner

The Capsule is made from carbon fibre which is more usually found in the worlds of motorsport and aviation. It’s the first time carbon fibre has been used in a vacuum cleaner, making it a world first.

Weighing just 2.6kg, the Capsule weighs less than half the weight of traditional full-size upright vacuums, making it incredibly lightweight. It also has a 1.6-litre capacity and traps the dirt in the dust pouch which has nearly five times the capacity of other models on the market.

It has more power than most other cordless vacuums and will clean just as well as a traditional corded upright on both carpet and hard floors. It runs on the latest brushless digital motors and comes with high-performance lithium-ion batteries.

The device comes supplied with:

  •       Capsule main unit
  •       Power brush head
  •       Crevice tool
  •       Dusting brush
  •       Extension tube
  •       A wall dock
  •       Charger
  •       Pack of dust pouches
  •       Accessory clip
  •       User guide

Retailing at around £250, it comes with a fabulous 2-year warranty and you can rest assured that it has been scientifically tested for over 10 years of use and meets quality standards for both the UK and EU.

Features and Benefits

Let’s look at how to use your Halo Capsule cordless vacuum in more depth, and how to make the most of its features.

Charging and Battery Life

To start using your Capsule simply place it into the wall dock and plug it in. It takes 3 hours to fully charge but be mindful that it is charged until all four bars are constantly lit. When charging, the battery indicator will show the level of charge so it’s very easy to see when it’s ready to use. The Capsule can be left connected and, when fully charged, it will automatically go into sleep mode and no electricity will be consumed. The run time is up to 60 minutes so after you’ve finished vacuuming you can just plug in, charge it up, and start all over again; 60-minutes should be more than sufficient for all of your vacuuming needs.

Power Modes

There are three different power modes; when first switching on the Halo it will always start in ‘performance’ mode. You can change this by pressing the Power Button to either ‘eco’ or ‘boost’ depending how powerful a clean you need. If you are vacuuming carpets or rugs you will need to switch on the ‘power brush’ head but leave it off if you are cleaning hard floors.

Dust Pouches

The Capsule uses paper dust pouches that are compostable, therefore making it eco-friendly. They fit snugly into the carbon fibre shell which has a huge capacity for the pouch to extend into. Simply open the capsule and place the dust pouch into the cavity and away you go. Removal of the pouch for emptying is very easy and because it encapsulates the dirt you can rest assured that you won’t get covered in a cloud of dust which is what normally happens with other vacuum cleaners. It will hold 1.6-litres of dirt and one pouch should last for two weeks of cleaning in the average household. When the bag is full, the dust pouch indicator will light up red.

Tools and Attachments

The main tools it comes supplied with are the main power brush as well as a crevice tool and dusting brush. These can be fitted into the wall dock alongside the main unit when not being used. For ease of use, any of the tools can be attached either to the tube for floor cleaning or to the main body for stair cleaning.

The power brush head picks up every piece of dust and dirt on hard floors even in the eco setting, while on carpets the performance even beats that of a traditional corded vacuum cleaner. The crevice tool is fabulous for getting into nooks and crannies especially those in sofas and chairs and also for reaching underneath furniture. It also makes light work of removing those high up cobwebs that we all hate. The dusting brush makes it so easy to remove dust on skirting boards, curtains, furniture and upholstery.

Cordless Design

For those of you that simply hate vacuuming the house, the Halo makes it less of a chore due to its lightweight body and cordless design. There’s no more lugging around heavy corded cleaners; the Capsule is easy to carry up and down the stairs no matter your age. What’s more, there are no leads trailing behind you and no worrying about whether your corded cleaner will topple over whilst you are hard at work, either. Just attach the main brush head directly to the capsule for the perfect cleaning aide.

It’s even perfect for cleaning the car, too; when the tools are attached directly to the main body it makes it super easy to vacuum the interior. The crevice tool is highly effective at getting into those hard-to-reach areas around the seats. It’s so lightweight and easy to manoeuvre that vacuuming the car is no longer the dreaded task at the bottom of the to-do list.

Bear in Mind…

One thing that we did find is that at times, hair can become wrapped around the brush roll and this should be removed immediately. This is very simple to do by turning the endcap anticlockwise with a coin or screwdriver and keep turning until the end cap pops out. The brush roll can then be removed making it extremely easy to remove all the hair and fluff attached to it.

Final Thoughts

The Halo Capsule can make your life so much easier simply by being lightweight, easy to use and powering through dust, dirt, and pet hair. Its performance is second to none and, no matter how many times a week you vacuum your house, the Halo can be ready to jump into action whenever you are. With its forward-thinking, innovative and extremely user-friendly design, this vacuum cleaner will make light work of your daily chores.
